Learn, Support, and Succeed Together.
Peer-to-peer learning that builds confidence, collaboration, and academic excellence.
What is the Tutoring Program?
The Tutoring Program at WILLIAMS HIGHER INSTITUTE (WHI) is a peer-learning initiative designed to help students achieve academic success through collaboration. Motivated and high-performing students (tutors) support their classmates (tutees) in mastering challenging subjects, improving study habits, and developing a deeper understanding of their coursework.
Program Objectives
- Promote collaboration and academic excellence among students.
- Provide additional learning support for difficult subjects.
- Encourage leadership, teamwork, and mentoring skills.
- Build a culture of mutual support and responsibility within the student community.
Who Can Participate?
- Tutors: Students with strong academic performance who are passionate about helping others.
- Tutees: Students who would like extra help, practice, or guidance in specific subjects.
- All students are welcome to join and benefit from the tutoring network.
Benefits of Tutoring
For Tutors: Develop leadership, communication, and teaching abilities while reinforcing your own knowledge. For Tutees: Gain confidence, improve academic performance, and learn effective study strategies. The program helps both groups grow academically and personally, fostering a sense of community and shared success at WHI.
How to Join
Students can apply to become a tutor or request tutoring support directly through the WHI academic office or the online student platform. Tutoring sessions can take place in person on campus or online through WHI’s virtual learning tools.
